Over 6 years ago we started out with the idea to make some rock and have a lot of fun. We wrote some songs that made us laugh and made people jump up and down, so we decided to take it on the road. We played some new band nights, and then we played some bars with people in 'em. We played a ton of clubs around town and even places we never thought we'd get into. We sang songs about monsters, dead people and trucking, played SXSW and stood on stages where we used to stand in the crowds. Much music has been made, many good times had and many balls rocked.
It's been a long, fun ride for 85 Decibels, but all things have to come to an end and sometimes you just have to hang up your spurs. You can never say never, but for now the Decibels are moving on into rock history.
But before we go we wanted to say thanks to all the fans, friends and family who ever called themselves a Decibelite. From the Tuesday night shows at midnight where only the most hard-core fans dared to tread, to the crazy-packed, Saturday night, standing room only shows. If it weren't for you we would have just been four guys playing for each other in a really hot garage. Keep on keepin' on and thanks to everyone for your love and support. We couldn't have done it without you.
